Rest Day
Although not in the original plan we scheduled in a rest day at the last minute. We had a great lie-in and spent the day with Mum and Dad fishing on the Dee in the glorious sunshine and resting our sore bottoms!
Not really looking forward to getting back on the bikes tomorrow but hopefully it will keep getting easier as we continue our journey North.
Thank you Brunts for your excellent hospitality!

Sounds like you have been slacking!!! I must have cycled at least 1/2 a mile around camp today! Good luck with the second half of the trip... Blue
How cool is this, i can now fill the comments section with loads of good stories!!! Well Done Smolts, will stop now before I post something awful. Have fun tomorrow, glad the rest day was good. Very well earnt if I say so myself!!! Blue
Typically it was the support car that caused problems. Hand brake failure probably exacerbated by the Cornish and Devon Hills. Full marks to Matilda for hanging on with those hill starts. The Naughtons kindly opened up and inspected the car at 10pm and the Chrylser garage in Shrewsbury were able to make interim adjustments on the rest day. Hope it holds out. Dad.
